Jamie Schwartzman
Chief Strategic Officer/ Epicurean
jamie@fluxbiz.com
Jamie likes making things. Example: he loves making dinner. He’s the kind of guy who’ll whip up something great with whatever’s around. This isn’t about following a cookbook. It’s about following instinct. He understands how to please the palate. He impresses the senses. And he engages even the detached diner.
Jamie’s approach to marketing, branding and advertising is all about uncovering new opportunities to elevate your brand, leveraging every ingredient from your company’s pantry. He goes beyond problem solving. It’s a bigger type of thinking that forces those around him to grow, while positioning clients to be far more proactive than reactive.
Having cut his teeth in a number of successful (and a few failed) ventures, Jamie brings a sense of realism to the table, while being gifted at accommodating growing pains. Equally adept across creative and business, his consultative style reflects his prowess in the boardroom, in the studio or on the pitcher’s mound. His practice includes business development, marketing and sales, through servicing several nationally-based companies. Thanks to his efforts, growth was in triple digits annually at all of these respective companies.
So, how did Jamie get this way? He’s the kid of an artist and a doctor. Left brain. Right brain. And along the way he developed impeccable taste. The result, whether it’s tuna tartar or a marketing campaign, is happiness. Clients feel it. Employees feel it. In fact, everyone can almost savor it. And if you can’t, just try his brisket.
Karen Maxwell
Chief Creative Advisor/ Goddess
karen@fluzbiz.com
A veteran graphic designer, Karen has worked for a variety of corporate clients and nationally-based companies. Her experience producing printed materials ensures project completion on time and within budget.
Comfortable on screen, or with markers and board, she constantly strives to hit every objective while raising the aesthetic bar on each project. And though she may not immediately admit it, she has an excellent smile.
Heather Hannold
Graphic Designer/ Peacekeeper
heather@fluxbiz.com
For someone who started speaking at 10 months and never stopped, Heather finds herself suddenly lacking in commentary. She has given up the hope of profundity, entertainment or revolutionary insight into the mind of Heather in 150 words or less. At the end of the day, she likes what she likes and it changes with the hour - stock piling itself in my head for later use. She usually finds beauty in dark forgotten corners, a melancholy snippet of Tom Waits echoing in my head and a silent walk down Great Jones Street alone at 5 am on a Saturday morning.
She's not really one to wax poetic on the creative process. She does what I does because it's all she's ever known and it is the only thing that puts her mind at ease. That nagging need to visually understand everything around me started early and she never grew out of it. Heather was the only child in kindergarten who knew Kermit the Frog was Pantone 382 and how to use an architect's scale. Natural progression dictated that someday she would end up in a profession that understood she does my best work while sitting in the bathtub listening to Judy Garland or Johnny Thunders, and that sometimes the 'greatest' ideas end up as garbage and a pretty piece of trash blowing down the street can be the inspiration for your best work ever. She has put this theory to test with clients ranging from Bristol Myers-Squibb, General Motors and New York's Fashion Week to birthday party invitations for her friends. It hasn't failed her yet.

Brandon Schor
Marketing Director/ Auto Enthusiast
brandon@fluxbiz.com
Brandon loves cars. Not just loves, but is pretty much obsessed. His favorites include (but not limited to): the Maserati Quattroporte, BMW M6, Mercedes CL63, Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, Aston Martin DB9, Audi S8 … and the list goes on. He appreciates not just their beauty and design, but technology, innovation and most of all, their power. Like the luxury and exotic cars he follows, Brandon is fast, precise and spirited.
With a Public Relations degree from USC, Brandon knows all too well the value of hard work and the importance of strong, long-lasting relationships. Prior to Flux, Brandon pursued his interest in music/entertainment public relations. He's the typical Leo: always trying to run the show, opinionated, stubborn, yet sensitive and intuitive. All characteristics that serve us well here at Flux.
He's the youngest, yet oldest Flux employee (since 2004) and continues to enjoy his role in creative/account strategy and client services.
And with a name that starts with "Brand," this couldn't be more of a perfect fit.
Deanna McClure
Art Director/ Social Gadabout
deanna@fluxbiz.com
Deanna is a graphic designer. Seriously. Her favorite color is PMS 541. She'll buy CDs just because she likes the cover. She'll try out a restaurant based solely on a cool logo. She's given a primer on the importance of proper kerning to her 10-year-old niece...but she still doesn't share her aunt's outrage over poorly kerned text in public places. But she will, oh yes, she will. If she ever gets a tattoo, it will be something along the lines of "Tick Mark's are not the same as Typographer's Quotes" or "Double-Spaces after Sentences are Wrong!"
With over 10 years of industry experience, Mz McClure has worked on a wide array of projects for an eclectic range of clients – everything from small non-profits to the Lakers.
She's an avid photographer who has recently turned a love of architectural photography into a small, but expanding casual lifestyle-y/portrait-y type business...we know, it doesn't make sense to her either.
Liz Beckworth
Marketing Coordinator/ Peacekeeper
liz@fluxbiz.com
Liz is so NOT a drama queen. She's the kind of cool, calm and collected person you'd select to tame the most unmanageable details– the ones that elude the grasp of most creative types. When it's tasked to Liz, we're assured of one thing: completion without complication. After the amazing ideas are circulated and accepted, it's nice to have a natural politician at your ready to bring the parties together for a workable solution. We vote for Beckworth.
Ashley Watts
Marketing Coordinator/ Explorer Extraordinaire
ashley@fluxbiz.com
Ashley likes talking to people, A LOT. With a degree in communication studies from California State University Northridge and having worked in events and public relations, Ashley has spoken to many MANY people. Sometimes she talks to people a little more loudly than necessary (this is how you know she is excited). Her last job was in Toronto, where she learned not only about Canadian culture but how crazy single people can be. As an events and PR coordinator for a events company specializing in singles events she learned a lot more that she ever could've imagined. Now she is ready to take the marketing world by storm.
She is also an explorer, trying new things and finding new venues is not just part of her past and current job assignments, but it is also her hobby. One of here favorite things to do is get lost, she knows that sounds weird but nothing excites her more than spending the day getting lost in a new city and stumbling onto something she might not have otherwise. Traveling and organizing events (even if its just for her friends) are her passion. Having people have fun thanks to her planning makes her happy. Very happy. It should be illegal that's how happy she gets.
Jazmine Graza
Social Media Associate/ Ninja
jazmine@fluxbiz.com
Jazmine's passion for martial arts and kung fu movies transcends into every part of her life. When Bruce Lee said, "Be like water," Jazmine took it to heart. Having graduated university with degrees in history and journalism, in one of the most evolutionary eras of publishing; Jazmine adapted to the ever-changing world of media, always a step ahead of her colleagues. Long before the LA Times went web first, she forecasted a web-centric world and developed digital savviness.
In 2008, her unique experiences in writing, video production and graphic design melded together to form a lethal weapon in social media. Since then she has managed and produced social media for a number of websites, and has grown Facebook fan bases to over a 1,000 members.
Jazmine is not a flower, but unique blend of tech, tenacity, and style.
